Mamekichi is a snack maker that specializes in Japanese bean snacks called mamegashi. Beware: these snacks are delicious and addicting! Walk in the shop and you’ll find an impressive variety of flavors ranging from the sweet to the salty to the truly unique: chocolate-covered beans, matcha beans, dry-roasted beans, miso beans, fruit-flavored beans, sesame beans, spicy mayo beans—you name it!
The shop is located a short walk from Matsumoto Station inside of a traditional kura warehouse that is over a century old. There is also a cafe in the shop.
