An annual bicycle race to the top of Utsukushigahara from Asama Onsen, starting at the parking lot by the baseball stadium. A 21 kilometer climb up to an elevation of nearly 2,000 meters.
NB Road up the mountain is closed from early morning (around 6:00) for the duration of the race. Access on foot/by bike is possible, or get there early and park at the top or at Misuzuko (lake).
