Nawate Street Frog Festival

Held in honor of the street’s mascot, the frog, this festival offered games, live performances, and frog-themed treats. Read more about the story behind the frog mascot on the Nawate Street page.

Despite rain one day, and high temperatures the next, people from all over came to enjoy the festivities.

A stall area with frog and non-frog related goods was set up at the entrance to the street, just outside of Yohashira Shrine. There was even a tent offering temporary frog tattoos.

There were plenty of photo ops with the mascots along the street and near the shrine.
