This is the place to get great craft beer in Matsumoto! The Tap Room is located in the Nakamachi area down a small alley and serves Matsumoto Brewery’s four original beers and an occasional guest beer on draft. You can purchase bottles for take-out as well.
With only a bar and one bar table on the first floor and a large table on the second floor, the Tap Room is cozy and tight, making it easy to strike up a conversation with others in the room. It can get crowded during peak times, but you can always get a cup or bottle to drink outside! Note that the bar does not have a kitchen and only offers dry snacks, such as nuts, for food so you will need to grab a meal elsewhere if you are hungry.
The staff are also very friendly and speak some English. There is another Matsumoto Brewery Tap Room in the Media Garden building that has more seating and serves small plates.
